The Alberta Mental Health Hotline is a toll-free number you can call any time of day. They provide information about programs and services, referrals to other agencies, and crisis intervention.

Kids Help Phone

Kids help phone offers 24/7 support to any youth under the age of 20 who are struggling. In addition to their phone service they offer text services and online live chat.

Or Text “HOME” to 686868

This is a text support line that is offered by Kids Help Phone. This service is for anyone in crisis, including adults, and will connect you with a trained crisis counsellor.

Indigenous Mental Health Help

The Hope for Wellness Helpline is available to all Indigenous people across Canada. Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Both telephone and online chat services are available in English and French. Telephone support is also available upon request in Cree, Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin) and Inuktitut.

AHS Addictions Help Line

The Addiction and Mental Health Help Line is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week confidential service that provides support, information and referrals to Albertans experiencing addiction and mental health concerns, including problem gambling.

The service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprised of nurses, psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychologists. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is available to all Albertans.

Adult Bullying Help Line

Call the Bullying Helpline 1-888-456-2323 (24 hours, toll-free in Alberta).

Bullying can affect anyone, including youth, adults and seniors in any environment such as schools, workplaces and community spaces. No one has to tolerate bullying. It can be prevented. The best way to prevent bullying is to promote healthy, supportive relationships.
