The National Crisis line can be accessed by any landline or cellphone in Canada by call or text. The caller will be connected with a crisis support worker working with one of the 37 national partners and provided with compassionate support.

Alberta Mental Health Hotline
The Alberta Mental Health Hotline is a toll-free number you can call any time of day. They provide information about programs and services, referrals to other agencies, and crisis intervention.

Kids Help Phone
Kids help phone offers 24/7 support to any youth under the age of 20 who are struggling. In addition to their phone service they offer text services and online live chat.
Or Text “HOME” to 686868
This is a text support line that is offered by Kids Help Phone. This service is for anyone in crisis, including adults, and will connect you with a trained crisis counsellor.

Indigenous Mental Health Help
The Hope for Wellness Helpline is available to all Indigenous people across Canada. Experienced and culturally competent counsellors are reachable by telephone and online ‘chat’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Both telephone and online chat services are available in English and French. Telephone support is also available upon request in Cree, Ojibway (Anishinaabemowin) and Inuktitut.

AHS Addictions Help Line
The Addiction and Mental Health Help Line is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week confidential service that provides support, information and referrals to Albertans experiencing addiction and mental health concerns, including problem gambling.
The service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprised of nurses, psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychologists. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is available to all Albertans.

2-1-1 Alberta
211 is an essential service that helps Albertans find the right resource or service for whatever issue they need help with, at the right time. 211 is available 24/7 by phone, text and chat. The service is free, confidential and available in over 170 languages over the phone.

Adult Bullying Help Line
Call the Bullying Helpline 1-888-456-2323 (24 hours, toll-free in Alberta).
Bullying can affect anyone, including youth, adults and seniors in any environment such as schools, workplaces and community spaces. No one has to tolerate bullying. It can be prevented. The best way to prevent bullying is to promote healthy, supportive relationships.

Writing an email can be a calm and safe way to work through what’s on your mind.
Some people use email when they just need to offload something. Others use it to share something that is difficult for them to work through or when they are going through a difficult time in their life and don’t want to face it alone.

Mobile Outreach
The Mobile Outreach Program (MOP) is intended to provide support for a client’s basic needs and navigation through emergency shelters, healthcare, addiction treatment, housing, or other services. The Mobile Outreach Program responds to concerns from businesses and residents related to trespassing, loitering, public disturbances and intoxication, needle debris, as well as suppressing encampments.

Odyssey House is a non-profit organization and registered charity dedicated to providing safe, secure, and supportive accommodation for individuals experiencing domestic abuse, crisis situations, or needing alternative housing options. We are open 24/7 to support anyone in need.
Sunrise House Youth Emergency Shelter
Providing emergency shelter to youth ages 12-17 who have become or are at risk of becoming homeless. We provide a safe and supportive environment encouraging healthy decision making and to strengthen coping skills.
Wapiti House
Wapiti House is a dynamic facility offering essential shelter and support services to individuals in need. Navigation services are a collaborative effort between frontline staff, WCSA outreach workers, and community partners, connecting residents with vital resources to access housing, healthcare, and external programs.

Housing With Supports
Offers people who have experienced homelessness support to achieve housing and personal stability by providing programming and supports to help people maintain their housing. This type of program can end the experience of chronic homelessness for people who face barriers due to mental/physical health problems or addiction. It can be permanent housing for some individuals or a stepping-stone to other housing options that better meet their needs.
St. Lawerence Centre
Saint Lawrence Centre provides compassionate daytime support and essential services to individuals sleeping rough, those without daytime shelter, and users of overnight mat programs. Drop-in staff, WCSA outreach workers, and community partners offer navigation services.

Provincial Family Resource Networks (FRNs) deliver high-quality prevention and early intervention services and supports for children aged 0-18.
